October 1988: BulletBoys single "Smooth Up In Ya" was blowing up on American rock radio and MTV was showing the video, but for some reason the song didn't chart in the US until the following June 🤔 The Hard Report radio trade publication ad - October 28, 1988

October 1986: Sammy Hagar and Eddie Van Halen were included on the cover of Faces Magazine with a question "Still The Mightiest Of Them All?" "5150" was a US No. 1 album for several weeks earlier that year, but watch out for Bon Jovi.

October 1990: Bon Jovi helped Skid Row get their first record contract and took them out on the 1988/89 "Jersey Syndicate" Tour, but the relationship turned sour, and Sebastian Bach sounded off to the UK's Kerrang! Magazine.

October 30, 2015: Def Leppard released their 11th studio album "Def Leppard" in North America, featuring singles "Let's Go" and "Dangerous", that went on to become the band's seventh US Top 10 LP. Release date source: Blabbermouth.net - January 2, 2016.

October 30, 1989: With an assist from Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, who helped them secure a deal with Mercury Records, Russian rock band Gorky Park released their debut album featuring the song "Bang" in the UK (August '89 in North America). October 30, 1989: Opening for Aerosmith on their UK tour, English hard rockers Thunder released their debut single "She's So Fine". Release date source: Kerrang! ad - October 28, 1989.

October 30, 1990: Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose was released on $10,000 bail after being arrested for allegedly hitting a neighbor over the head with a wine bottle. The incident happened after a complaint to police about loud music coming from the singer’s house. "I live next door to a psycho," Axl told a TV reporter. According to the alleged victim — who lived on the same floor as Rose in a chic West Hollywood high-rise — the singer also threw a piece of chicken her way. It was a neighborly dispute turned up to 11, one that Rose claimed had started as soon as he moved in. In the end, the case was dismissed, but Rose didn't let it lie: He wrote the not-so-subtly titled "Right Next Door To Hell" for "Use Your Illusion I".

October 1986: On the eve of their first UK headlining tour, Bon Jovi were featured in the latest issue of Kerrang! Magazine...
