October 29, 1983: A Mötley Crüe in-store appearance at Tower Records in West Covina, California to promote the "Shout At The Devil" album drew 3,000 fans. Rowdier types tried to smash the shop windows and the band's limo when they left 🤦‍♂️

October 29, 1984: Supporting their debut album, Bon Jovi were on the road in Europe with KISS for the "Animalize" World Tour, including Hannover, one of six dates in Germany. Earlier that day, KISS visited the Polygram CD plant in Langenhagen. Along with "Unmasked" and "Lick It Up", "Animalize" was one of the first KISS albums issued on CD.

Remembering Quiet Riot singer Kevin DuBrow, who would have celebrated a birthday today (October 29, 1955). Kevin died in 2007. R.I.P.

October 1989: Ahead of several UK dates with Mötley Crüe and Skid Row, White Lion released "Radar Love" as a single. The tour began November 1st with two shows at London's Wembley Arena. Release information source: Kerrang! ad - October 28, 1989.

October 1987: After leaving the band Europe a year earlier, guitarist John Norum went solo and released his first album "Total Control" in Europe (May '88 in North America). October 29, 1982: In the UK, Whitesnake released the original version of "Here I Go Again" as the lead single from their forthcoming fifth studio album "Saints & Sinners". The song was re-recorded with a slight change in lyrics and the bluesy pace for "Whitesnake 1987". Release information source: Record Mirror review - October 30, 1982.

October 29, 1991: With new singer Tommy Paris, Britny Fox released their third studio album "Bite Down Hard" in North America (November 25th in the UK), featuring guest appearances by Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde and Poison drummer Rikki Rockett. October 29, 1991: Canadian rockers Honeymoon Suite released their fourth studio album "Monsters Under The Bed" featuring single "Say You Don't Know Me". Release date source: [Canada] RPM radio trade publication ad - October 19, 1991.

The debut single from Vixen, "Edge Of A Broken Heart", was a hit on American radio and the music video shown often on MTV. October 1988: You could always count on Blast! Magazine for some great teaser headlines back in the day like "Stryper: Can You Really Trust Them?" 😁 Cinderella's Tom Keifer got the cover of this issue, but unfortunately, we don't know "His Private Passion" because we only have the cover 😬
