October 18, 1994: Bon Jovi released their first major greatest hits album "Cross Road" in North America (one week earlier in Europe) featuring songs you know and love played on HAIR BAND RADIO, plus two new songs highlighted by "Always".

October 1986: Cinderella released power ballad "Nobody's Fool" as the second single from their debut album "Night Songs" in North America. Singer Tom Keifer has described it as a "song for the falling out of love experience." It reached No. 13 in the US. Release information source: FMQB radio trade publication ad - October 24, 1986.

After opening for David Lee Roth all summer, the massive success of Poison's second album "Open Up And Say... Ahh!" propelled the band to headliner status, and on October 18, 1988 they played Richmond County Civic Center in Augusta, Georgia, with special guests Lita Ford and Britny Fox.

October 1984: Following up on their biggest hit in the US, "Midnite Maniac", Krokus released "Our Love" as the second single from the album "The Blitz". It went on to be a Top 25 rock hit in the states. Release information source: FMQB radio trade publication ad - October 18, 1984.

October 18, 1985: The Cult released their second studio album "Love" in the UK (December '85 in North America) featuring worldwide rock hit "She Sells Sanctuary". Release information source: [UK] Music Week - October 12, 1985; [US] Debuted Billboard Top Pop Albums chart on December 28, 1985.

October 1992: With former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, Widowmaker released their debut album "Blood And Bullets" featuring single "Calling For You". October 2005: VH1 Classic released the second compilation in the series with "Metal Mania - Stripped, Vol. 2 The Anthems" featuring hair bands unplugged... Whitesnake, Poison, Cinderella's Tom Keifer With Fred Coury, Warrant's Jani Lane and more.

October 18, 1984: Quiet Riot brought the "Condition Critical" Tour to Palmer Auditorium in Austin, Texas with Whitesnake and Helix.

October 18, 1989: Opening for the Rolling Stones, the band nearly broke up on stage when Axl Rose announced unless certain people "get their shit together, these will be the last Guns N’ Roses shows...too many people dancing with Mr. Brownstone."
