October 15, 1991: Billed as "Bret Michaels And The Hollywood Gutter Cats", the Poison frontman played Chicago on the second night of a solo tour to promote Poison's forthcoming live album "Swallow This Live". He denied the band had broken up.

October 15, 1988: Two weeks from the start of the "Jersey Syndicate" Tour, Bon Jovi's fourth studio album "New Jersey" hit number 1 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, where it would remain for four weeks.

October 1991: San Diego rockers Asphalt Ballet released their debut album featuring singles "Tuesday's Rain" and "Soul Survive" in North America (February '92 in the UK). The band's name is derived from descriptive terminology used to depict a motorcyclist, crashing and skidding along an asphalt concrete road at high speed. October 15, 1983: "Lick It Up", the 11th studio album from KISS, debuted at No. 121 on the US Billboard Top LPs & Tape Chart. It would rise to No. 24 a month later on the strength of singles the title track and "All Hell's Breakin' Loose".

October 15, 1983: Mötley Crüe's second studio album "Shout At The Devil" debuted at No. 157 on the US Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart. Fueled by singles "Looks That Kill" and "Too Young To Fall In Love", the LP peaked at No. 17 in late March 1984 and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
