October 1987: After hitting No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with "Here I Go Again", Whitesnake followed it up with the release of "Is This Love" as the third single from the album "Whitesnake" that went on to reach No. 2. October 11, 1991: With Firehouse and Trixter, Warrant brought the "Cherry Pie" Tour aka "Blood Sweat & Beers" Tour to Sacramento. During a tough summer for concerts, the "low dough" triple bill was a success.

October 11, 1989: Winger performed power ballad "Headed For A Heartbreak" on The Arsenio Hall Show in the US. The song was a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in August that year.

October 11, 1983: KISS launched the "Lick It Up" Tour in Lisbon, Portugal, their first without makeup. Guitarist Vinnie Vincent was fired after the European tour, but not able to find a replacement in time, re-hired for the North American leg.

October 11, 1989: The "Rip And Tear" Tour or "Cocked And Loaded" Tour... L.A. Guns were on the road with a show in Austin, Texas at the Austin Opry House with support from Tora Tora and Dangerous Toys.

October 1987: From the just released Alice Cooper album "Raise Your Fist And Yell", American rock radio was starting to spin the first single "Freedom". Written by Alice Cooper and Kane Roberts, the track did not chart in the US, but did reach No. 50 on the UK singles chart in April 1988. October 11, 1986: With guitarist Steve Vai, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Gregg Bissonette, David Lee Roth brought the "Eat 'Em And Smile" Tour to the Spectrum in Philadelphia, a homecoming for special guest Cinderella.

October 11, 1992: KISS brought the "Revenge" Tour to Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York with openers Faster Pussycat and Trixter.

October 11, 2024: Ratt shared "Reach For The Sky", a previously unreleased track recorded during the sessions for the band's 1984 debut album "Out Of The Cellar" and to be included on limited-edition versions of the forthcoming 40th-anniversary release of their successful first studio LP.
