September 1989: Featuring single "Sleeping My Day Away", Danish rockers D-A-D released the album "No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims". September 5, 1986: Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" finally made it to UK record shops (August 18th in North America). Hit singles "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive" could now be experienced worldwide. Kerrang! ad - September 4, 1986

September 5, 1991: After an erratic performance at the MTV Video Music Awards that led to a backstage brawl between Bret Michaels and C.C. DeVille, the guitarist was eventually dismissed from the band. He returned five years later.

September 5, 1991: Cinderella played the first of nine club dates at Baltimore's Hammerjacks to warm up for a 10-date tour of Japan at the end of the month.

September 1983: Seattle band Rail achieved fame in the US after winning the first MTV Basement Tapes competition with their 1980 song "Hello" that earned them a recording contract with EMI. They released their self-titled debut a year later.

September 5, 1987: Bon Jovi launched the Australian leg of the "Slippery When Wet" Tour with five shows in Melbourne, followed by Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand... All sold out and the album already "5 times platinum".
