September 4, 1986: America had been bathing in the album for three weeks and now Europe would get "Slippery When Wet" with Jon Bon Jovi teasing the LP's imminent release across the pond on the cover of the UK's Kerrang! Magazine.

September 4, 1990: Queensrÿche released their fourth studio album "Empire" in North America (Sept. 10th in the UK) featuring power ballad "Silent Lucidity" that reached the US Top 10 and made the LP the band's most commercially successful (Release date source: [US] Billboard - Sept. 1, 1990; [UK] Kerrang! - Sept. 10, 1990).

September 4, 1989: American/British supergroup Bad English, with members of Journey and The Babys, released their self-titled debut album in the UK (June 27th in North America) featuring singles "Price Of Love" and "When I See You Smile". Release date source: Kerrang! - September 2, 1989.

September 4, 1996: The original Van Halen lineup (Eddie and Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth) reunited as presenters at the MTV Video Music Awards, their first public appearance in over 12 years and sadly, their last.
