September 30, 1984: KISS launched the "Animalize" World Tour in Brighton, England. The tour was 119 shows with Bon Jovi supporting the Europe dates, while Queensrÿche, Krokus, Dokken and W.A.S.P. opened in North America.

September 30, 1989: MTV added the music video from Winger for the single "Hungry", which dealt with a man falling into a depression after his new wife dies in a car crash. In the beginning of the video, before the car crashes, Winger's previous single "Headed For A Heartbreak" can be heard playing on the radio.

September 30, 1988: After a two-month break following the "Monsters Of Rock" Tour, Van Halen returned to the road in support of their latest album "OU812" with a show in Lexington, Kentucky, opening with Sammy Hagar solo hit "There's Only One Way To Rock".

September 1989: Produced by Don Dokken and led by singer Terry Ilous, French-American band XYZ released "Inside Out" in North America as the first single from their forthcoming debut album "XYZ". September 30, 1984: After opening for Billy Squier all summer and a one-off with The Cars, RATT was now a headliner when they played Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.
