October 1, 1991: Mötley Crüe released their first compilation album "Decade Of Decadence 81–91" in North America (the week of October 7th in the UK) that included six of the band's greatest hits, three remixes and three newly recorded songs, highlighted by US rock hit "Primal Scream".

October 1, 1987: Def Leppard launched the first North American leg of the "Hysteria" Tour in Glen Falls, New York, performing "In The Round" with the stage in the center of arenas and drummer Rick Allen in the middle.

October 1, 1992: KISS launched the North American leg of the "Revenge" Tour in Pennsylvania with a giant 41-foot high replica of the Statue of Liberty. It was their first trek with drummer Eric Singer (Eric Carr passed away nearly a year earlier).

October 1, 1991: Danger Danger released their second studio album "Screw It!" in North America (February 4, 1992 in the UK) featuring singles "Monkey Business", "Comin' Home" and "I Still Think About You".

October 1, 1984: After moving from Germany to Los Angeles in 1983 and signing with MCA Records, singer Lenny Wolf founded Stone Fury and they released their debut album "Burns Like A Star" in North America featuring single "Break Down The Wall". October 1, 1991: Supergroup Shadow King featuring former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm and future Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, released their only album in North America (one day earlier in the UK) featuring singles "I Want You" and "What Would It Take". October 1996: Bearing no resemblance to their Glam past and continuing the Alternative direction of 1995's "Ultraphobic", Warrant released their fifth studio album "Belly To Belly", their last of all original material with Jani Lane on vocals.

October 1, 2010: Great White with Warrant's Jani Lane filling in for singer Jack Russell, who was recuperating from surgery after suffering internal complications, played Angels Roadhouse in Yucaipa, California.

October 1, 2011: After more than 28 years together, KISS' Gene Simmons surprised nearly everyone when he married longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “It was a giant jam session” -Shannon Tweed-Simmons

October 1, 1984: Touring the UK with KISS, upstarts Bon Jovi were set to play their second International show in Southampton after opening the "Animalize" Tour a night earlier in Brighton, England...
