September 2, 1984: The original Van Halen lineup (Eddie and Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth) performed their final show together as they concluded the "1984" Tour in Nuremberg, Germany as part of "Monsters Of Rock '84".

September 2, 1991: White Lion performed their final show together in Boston. There seemed to be momentum for a reunion with the original members in 2003, but guitarist Vito Bratta, who partially owns the band name was not on board.

September 2, 1991: Guns N' Roses released "Don't Cry" in the UK and North America as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Use Your Illusion I". It reached the Top 10 in many countries, including No. 1 in Ireland, Finland and Portugal and No. 10 in the US. September 1987: MTV added the music video for Stryper power ballad "Honestly" and it quickly became one of the channel's most requested clips (10 Weeks in the Top 5). Pop radio stations also played it frequently and it later reached the Top 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

September 1989: Dangerous Toys were making a name for themselves with their self-titled debut album and American rock radio was all over singles "Teas'n Pleas'n" and Alice Cooper tribute "Scared". The Hard Report radio trade publication ad - September 1, 1989

September 1991: With "Call It Rock N' Roll" just released in the UK as the last single from the album "Hooked", Great White played a few dates there, beginning with Manchester, England on the 2nd and London Sept. 4th.

September 2, 2000: Around 700 Def Leppard fans received refunds after a disappointingly quiet concert at the Oregon State Fair because the city of Salem's noise ordinance forced the band to play at a very low sound level.
