September 11, 1990: Warrant released their second studio album "Cherry Pie" in North America (Late September in the UK) featuring Top 40 hits "I Saw Red" and the title track, plus Top 20 rock hit "Uncle Tom's Cabin" that drove the LP to No. 7 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. Before recording started, the band had considered calling the album "Vertical Smile" 🙃

September 11, 1990: Formed in Richmond, Virginia, Firehouse released their debut album in North America featuring hit singles "Don't Treat Me Bad", "All She Wrote" and power ballad "Love Of A Lifetime" (reached No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100). September 1989: Five months after its North American release, Great White's fourth studio album "...Twice Shy" featuring smash hit "Once Bitten Twice Shy" as well as power ballad "The Angel Song", was now available in the UK. Kerrang! ad - September 9, 1989

September 11, 1990: House of Lords released their second studio album "Sahara" in North America (three days later in the UK) featuring singles "Can't Find My Way Home" and "Remember My Name". September 11, 1989: German melodic rockers Bonfire released "Hard On Me" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Point Blank" in the UK. Release date source: Kerrang! - September 9, 1989.

Early September 1988: Night Ranger released "I Did It For Love" in North America as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Man In Motion". It was written by former Argent guitarist Russ Ballard and popular actress Morgan Fairchild appeared in the music video. September 1988: Europe released "The Final Countdown World Tour Home Video" on VHS in North America "In Superb Hi-Fi Stereo Sound" for only $19.98... Minimum wage was $3.35 back then, so one 8 hour shift would do it 🤔

The September 1984 issue of Hit Parader Magazine in the US pitted Mötley Crüe vs. Quiet Riot for the "American Metal Championship". Judging by the photos in the feature, it appears it was Crüe over Quiet with Nikki Sixx proud of his motley crew and Rudy Sarzo representing the rioters wearing a scarf 🤗
