June 28, 1988: With a more pop-oriented sound and glam metal look, Stryper released their fourth studio album "In God We Trust" in North America (August 22nd in the UK) featuring single "Always There For You" (the music video was a big hit on MTV) and follow up "I Believe In You".

June 1986: Quiet Riot released "The Wild And The Young" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "QR III". The music video featured game show host Wink Martindale and painted an Orwellian picture of the future. Release information source: R&R radio trade publication ad - June 27, 1986.

June 1989: Her latest album "Lita" already a Top 30 hit on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart thanks to singles "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Close My Eyes Forever", Lita Ford released "Falling In And Out Of Love" as the fourth single from the LP, co-written by Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx (Lita and Nikki dated in the mid-'80s). June 28, 1986: Life in L.A. was all about the fun and the party and "Summer Kickoff '86" brought together Poison, Leatherwolf, Hurricane, Royal Tease and an up and coming Warrant to Santa Ana Stadium.

June 28, 1989: With their debut album just out, Tora Tora opened for Kix at the Paramount Theater in Ashbury Park, New Jersey as part of the Jersey Shore Summer Concert Series.

June 28, 1989: White Lion and Vixen were touring with Ozzy Osbourne and played a show in Philadelphia. A week earlier it was Bon Jovi and Skid Row in town and upcoming Metallica with The Cult... so many great shows.

In December 1984, while driving drunk, Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil crashed his sports car. Passenger Razzle (Nicholas Dingley) of Hanoi Rocks was killed in the accident. Six months later, the band ended their hiatus by ending the band... "It was fast, it was furious, but most of all it was fun...but, really, I suppose I knew it had to be over." -Kerrang! We used to wait in 1989 and kids today will never understand the anticipation of getting the latest Hard 'N Heavy video magazine IN THE MAIL... VHS tapes with interviews and clips of many of our favorite metal and hard rock bands.

June 1991: Hit Parader Magazine in the US asked "Who's Metal's Hottest Star?" Mark Slaughter, Jani Lane, Sebastian Bach and Mike Tramp were on the cover, but there were many other hair band players to choose from...
