June 1987: Requested by their record label, a radio-mix version of Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" was issued in the US with Denny Carmassi on drums, Dann Huff on guitar and David Coverdale's vocal intro removed. June 1987: Great White released breakout hit "Rock Me" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Once Bitten". At the time, American radio played an edited version of the 7-minute song with some lyrics different from the original. June 12, 1985: Summer's comin' and Y&T brought a pop metal anthem with single "Summertime Girls". The music video shows the band walking a crowded beach, but at the end leaving with four women all dressed in black leather to show their metal cred. June 12, 1987: Guns N' Roses released "It's So Easy" in the UK as the lead single from their forthcoming debut album "Appetite For Destruction". Written by Duff McKagan with help from band friend West Arkeen, the original song was more Country/Western. Warrant released their sixth studio album "Under The Influence" in 2001, a covers LP with two new original tracks. The last Warrant album to feature singer Jani Lane, the band toured with Poison that summer on the "Glam Slam Metal Tour".

June 12, 1989: Featuring guitarist Doug Aldrich (Hurricane, House Of Lords, Whitesnake), Lion released their second studio album "Trouble In Angel City" in North America (August '89 in the UK), which turned out to be their last, as a month later, Lion disbanded. June 12, 1990: KISS brought the "Hot In The Shade" Tour to Cincinnati, Ohio with support from Slaughter and Little Caesar.

June 1990: The soundtrack to the movie "The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane" was released featuring Mötley Crüe's "Rock'n Roll Junkie" and Richie Sambora with a cover of the Jimi Hendrix song "The Wind Cries Mary". In the film, the members of the fictional band Black Plague are played by Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil, Ozzy bassist Phil Soussan and drummer Randy Castillo; and Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazzo.

June 12, 1988: Opening with "Bad Boys" and "Children Of The Night", Whitesnake played the second of four nights at Yoyogi Daiichi Taiikukan in Tokyo. The final song was a cover of ZZ Top's "Tush" (alternate lyrics "Tits") 🤭

June 1992: "Def Leppard Hysteria Returns!" With the new album "Adrenalize" selling big, Joe Elliott was on the cover of Circus Magazine. Plus, "Vince Neil In Shock!" Mötley Crüe fired him two days after his birthday in February.
