June 11, 1989: Bon Jovi brought the "Jersey Syndicate" Tour home to play Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Skid Row and Billy Squier opened and comedian Sam Kinison who appears in the "Bad Medicine" music video was emcee.
June 1984: MTV in the US was close to adding the "We're Not Gonna Take It" music video to the channel's rotation and life would never be the same for Twisted Sister. The "Stay Hungry" album had just been issued in the UK on June 8th and would be available in American record stores by mid-June.
June 11, 1991: Skid Row released their second studio album "Slave To The Grind" in North America (one day earlier in the UK). Featuring singles "Monkey Business" and "Wasted Time", it was the first metal album to chart at number one on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the Nielsen SoundScan era. June 1988: Less than a year after its release, Great White celebrated their third studio album "Once Bitten" going platinum in US sales. "One Million Bitten!" by hits "Rock Me", "Lady Red Light", "All Over Now" and power ballad "Save Your Love". Billboard Magazine ad - June 11, 1988
June 1993: After he left Poison, C.C. DeVille recorded "Hey Good Lookin'" with Spike from the Quireboys for the "Son-In-Law" Movie Soundtrack. Poison had moved on with new guitarist Richie Kotzen and released the "Native Tongue" album in February that year. June 11, 2004: Van Halen reunited with Sammy Hagar and launched "The Van Halen (Summer) Tour 2004" in Greensboro, North Carolina. There was tension between Hagar and Eddie Van Halen before the tour even started and continued until the last show.
June 11, 1987: With their debut album "Appetite For Destruction" due in July, Guns N' Roses got the cover of the UK's Kerrang! Magazine... "The rude and tattooed (and major label backed) beat boyz at the forefront of the post Hanoi explosion currently hitting Los Angeles."
