May 1989: From Memphis and originally called "Free Beer", they changed their name to Tora Tora and released their debut album "Surprise Attack" in North America featuring singles "Guilty", "Phantom Rider" and US Billboard Hot 100 hit "Walkin' Shoes".

May 31, 1985: With singer Adam Shore, Warrant headlined a show at the Whiskey A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. The opener was Plain Jane featuring frontman Jani Lane and drummer Steven Sweet, who would both join Warrant the following year.

May 31, 1990: After touring Australia and Japan, Mötley Crüe stopped in Hawaii for two shows in Honolulu before returning to the mainland. The "Dr. Feelgood" Tour continued through the summer, ending August 5th in Chandler, Arizona.

May 31, 1984: With the "Metal Health" LP still a hot seller, Quiet Riot were hoping lightning would strike twice with another Slade cover, "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", the first single from their forthcoming album "Conditional Critical". May 31, 1990: KISS brought the "Hot In The Shade" Tour to Mesker Music Theatre in Evansville, Indiana with openers Faster Pussycat and Slaughter.

May 31, 1991: Promoting their latest album "Mane Attraction", White Lion launched an eight-city UK tour at St. David's Hall in Cardiff, Wales with special guests Tyketto.

May 1986: "Calling All Dirtbags!" Twisted Sister were on the cover of Faces Magazine. Inside, details on a contest for "Motley Maniacs Only! Are You Crue Crazy?"
