March 12, 1988: David Lee Roth's "Just Like Paradise", the first single from the album "Skyscaper", peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The video included clips of DLR rock climbing for real at Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.

March 12, 1989: RATT returned home for a concert at the Los Angeles Sports Arena with special guests Britny Fox and Kix. The "Reach For The Sky" Tour included 91 shows with 84 in North America and seven in Japan.

March 12, 2007: Van Halen were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The only bandmembers to attend the ceremony were former members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Velvet Revolver played "Ain’t Talkin' 'Bout Love" and Hagar and Anthony performed "Why Can’t This Be Love" with David Letterman bandleader Paul Shaffer.

March 12, 1984: Headlined by Sammy Hagar and Journey's Neal Schon, HSAS (Hagar Schon Aaronson Shrieve) released their only album in North America, the semi-live "Through The Fire". March 12, 1991: BulletBoys released their second studio album "Freakshow" in North America featuring singles "THC Groove" and Top 25 rock hit "Hang On St Christopher", the latter a Tom Waits cover. March 12, 1987: Four months before the release of their debut album, Faster Pussycat played Chuck Landis' Country Club in Reseda, California. Just before the band went into the studio, bassist Kelly Nickels got into a motorcycle accident and broke his leg in seven places. He was replaced by Eric Stacy from Champagne Darling Cool. Shortly thereafter, Nickels joined L.A. Guns.

March 12, 1996: KISS released "Unplugged" in North America from their August '95 performance on "MTV Unplugged" that featured original KISS members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss reuniting with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley for four songs. March 12, 1990: American hard rockers Johnny Crash released their debut album "Neighbourhood Threat" featuring single "Hey Kid". The band toured for a short time with Mötley Crüe and Pretty Maids. After this album, future Guns N' Roses members Dizzy Reed and Matt Sorum joined Johnny Crash. However, the second album wouldn't be released until 2008. March 12, 1990: Skid Row's "I Remember You" was a Top 10 smash in America a month earlier and now the single was available in the UK. Release date source: Kerrang! ad - March 10, 1990.
