Def Leppard's latest single "Stand Up (Kick Love into Motion)", from the album "Adrenalize", was on the rise in North America in early December 1992. Written while recording "Hysteria", but not included on that album since the band thought it was very similar to the song "Hysteria", the track debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 on December 12, 1992.

December 1986: Europe's "The Final Countdown" was a Top 20 rock hit in the US and the music video an MTV staple, but the song was now crossing over to pop radio where it would ascend even higher, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Remembering Ozzy Osbourne, who would have celebrated a birthday today (December 3, 1948). Ozzy died in 2025. R.I.P.

December 1990: Bon Jovi released "Access All Areas: A Rock & Roll Odyssey", a video documentary following the band on their successful "Jersey Syndicate" Tour between 1988 and 1990, with live and backstage footage.

December 3, 1988: After spending most of the year in America supporting their latest album "Savage Amusement", that included second billing on Van Halen's "Monsters Of Rock" Tour over the summer, Scorpions performed at Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany, part of a slew of dates in their home country.

December 1991: Guns N' Roses released Paul McCartney cover "Live And Let Die". The music video was made shortly before Izzy Stradlin's departure and the song was nominated for "Best Hard Rock Performance" at the 1993 Grammy Awards. December 3, 1986: With guitarist Steve Vai, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Gregg Bissonette, David Lee Roth brought the "Eat 'Em And Smile" Tour to the Boise State University Pavilion in Boise, Idaho. The band typically opened with the song "Shy Boy", originally done in 1982 by Sheehan's previous band Talas, a popular local band in Buffalo, New York for over a decade. Singer Dave Constantino sounds a little like DLR on the song.

December 3, 1992: A few days after performing in Cleveland, Detroit and Indianapolis on the "Revenge" Tour, that was recorded for the "Alive III" album, KISS played the Minnesota Civic Center in St. Paul, with support from Great White and Trixter. A week later, weather affecting the band's travel forced show cancelations.
