Happy Birthday to Def Leppard co-founder and bassist Rick Savage (December 2, 1960).

December 2, 1982: Def Leppard filmed the "Photograph" music video at the Battersea Power Station building in central London. They also filmed the "Rock Of Ages" video there later that same month.

December 2, 1983: With concert dates coming up in the UK, including London's Hammersmith Odeon on the 5th, Def Leppard issued "Too Late For Love" as a single from the "Pyromania" album. Release date source: Music Week - November 26, 1983; Kerrang! ad - December 1, 1983.

December 2, 1988: After playing 10 European countries since Halloween, Bon Jovi and the "Jersey Syndicate" Tour with special guest Lita Ford, were now in the UK for two shows in Glasgow, followed by multiple dates in Birmingham and London.

Three years before "Cross Road", the first compilation album from Bon Jovi titled "Hard & Hot" was issued in Australia only in 1991 with tracks primarily from their first two albums.

December 2, 1989: McAuley Schenker Group power ballad "Anytime" from their second album "Save Yourself" debuted on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. It went on to become their biggest hit reaching No. 5.

December 2, 1989: Lee Aaron's "Whatcha Do To My Body", the first single from her fifth studio album "Bodyrock", peaked at No. 25 on the Canadian RPM 100 Singles chart. Her biggest hit, the music video was nominated for "Best Video" at 1990 Juno Awards.

December 2, 1987: Just seven months after its release in North America, Whitesnake's self-titled album was certified 4x Platinum in the US. Featuring singles "Still Of The Night", "Here I Go Again", "Is This Love" and "Give Me All Your Love", the LP would reach 5x Platinum a short time later and has since sold 15x platinum worldwide as of 2017.

December 2002: Bon Jovi released "Misunderstood" in North America as the second single from their eighth studio album "Bounce". It was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal".

December 2, 2003: Alice Cooper received a star on the "Hollywood Walk Of Fame", between Gene Autry and Hugh Hefner... "We would walk over the names of Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, never, ever thinking that our names would ever be on the Walk of Fame. That is really quite a privilege to be here."

December 2, 2023: "End Of The Road", KISS concluded their final tour ever at Madison Square Garden in New York City where it all started 50 years earlier. "This tour is the end of the road for the band, not the brand. KISS is a universe of its own — movies, merchandise, maybe even Broadway. The band will end, but the KISS experience… it's immortal. Following the last show of their final tour, KISS announced a "New Era" with plans to continue as a virtual band.
