October 1989: "Oooooooooh you're sexin' me-eeeeeeeee"... Rock singer Fiona teamed up with Kip Winger for single "Everything You Do (You're Sexing Me)". October 1989: KISS released "Hide Your Heart" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Hot In The Shade". Co-written by Paul Stanley, it was originally rejected for 1987's "Crazy Nights", then recorded by singer Bonnie Tyler in 1988. October 9, 1989: Having reached No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart a few weeks earlier, Warrant power ballad "Heaven" was a juggernaut and not yet ready to move out of the way of follow up single "Big Talk" from the album "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich", but this ad served as a reminder when that time came for radio to give it a spin. October 9, 1989: German hard rockers Bonfire released their third studio album "Point Blank" in the UK featuring single "Hard On Me". During the recording sessions, founder and lead guitarist Hans Ziller was fired from the band (he had written 10 songs for the album and played on 3 tracks). October 1988: American rock radio stations were lukewarm on the first single from Guns N' Roses when it was released over a year earlier, but with the follow up "Sweet Child O' Mine" hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in September '88, "Welcome To The Jungle" was given another go and this time there was no looking back as it reached No. 7 on Christmas Eve that year.
