October 1986: Released in late June, Quiet Riot's "The Wild And The Young", the first single from the album "QR III" was gaining steam on American rock radio and the music video that painted an Orwellian picture of the future and featured game show host Wink Martindale was in medium rotation on MTV. October 1994: Seven years after they disbanded, we were reminded of the good times with the release of Twisted Sister "Live At Hammersmith" recorded ten years earlier at London's Hammersmith Odeon.

October 1987: With their new album "Triumph And Agony" due out on the 19th in the US, Warlock were getting attention with first single "All We Are" and the music video played for the first time on MTV Headbangers Ball.

October 3, 1988: With an ex-Hanoi Rocks man on bass and a singer "discovered drunk in an alley", San Francisco-based hard rockers Jetboy released their debut album "Feel The Shake". Release date source: Magazine ad.

October 1989: Formerly known as Sharks before becoming the house band at Gazzari's on Hollywood's Sunset Strip, Shark Island released their debut album "Law Of The Order" in North America (April 16, 1990 in the UK) featuring single "Paris Calling" with music video hitting MTV Headbangers Ball in January 1990.
