November 1, 1988: After the "Hysteria" Tour ended four days earlier, Def Leppard's Joe Elliott returned home to Dublin and made a guest appearance with Bon Jovi, who had just started the "Jersey Syndicate" Tour in Ireland.

Before joining Bon Jovi on stage that night, Joe Elliott met Jon Bon Jovi, who visited Joe at his home in Dublin. This photo from that day was taken again 20 years later and again in 2016.

Happy Birthday to Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen (November 1, 1963). "Thunder God" joined the band on his 15th birthday.

Remixed with additional instrumental overdubs for the "Decade Of Decadence 81–91" compilation, Mötley Crüe power ballad "Home Sweet Home" was re-released as a single in the Fall of 1991, hitting the US Billboard Hot 100 in early November and reaching the Top 40 in January 1992 (The '85 original peaked at No. 89). November 1, 1986: Europe's third studio album "The Final Countdown" debuted at No. 168 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. Spawning five hit singles, including the title track, "Rock The Night" and "Carrie", the LP rose to No. 8 in late March 1987.

November 1982: Originally known as just "Ranger" they learned a country band had the same name so they changed it to Night Ranger and released their debut album "Dawn Patrol" featuring singles "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" and "Sing Me Away".

Happy Birthday to Bang Tango singer Joe LeSte’ (November 1, 1964).

November 1, 1990: KISS brought the "Hot In The Shade" Tour to Charleston, West Virginia with special guests Winger and Slaughter.

November 1, 1987: After opening for Mötley Crüe over the summer, Whitesnake had a No. 1 hit song with "Here I Go Again" and was now a headliner when they played Detroit with support from Great White.

November 1, 1989: Mötley Crüe's "Dr. Feelgood" Tour rolled across Europe and into the UK with the first of two sold out shows at London's Wembley Arena. Skid Row and White Lion were also on the bill.
