September 8, 1990: Jon Bon Jovi hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the first and only time as a solo artist with "Blaze Of Glory" from the "Young Guns II" movie soundtrack. The song went on to also win a Golden Globe Award.

September 1989: Def Leppard released "Live: In the Round, In Your Face" on home video, a full live show shot in Denver during the '87/88 "Hysteria" World Tour. September 8, 1990: The music video for Warrant's "Cherry Pie" premiered on MTV in the US (it was banned on MuchMusic in Canada). The high-rotation clip made Star Search beauty pageant winner Bobbie Brown a superstar and one of the most famous video vixens of all time. September 8, 1986: Portland, Oregon hard rockers Black 'N Blue released their third studio album "Nasty Nasty" in North America (October 6th in the UK), produced by KISS' Gene Simmons except for single "I'll Be There For You" (written and produced by Journey's Jonathan Cain).
