September 1987: Guns N' Roses released "Welcome To The Jungle" as the second single from the album "Appetite For Destruction" in the UK, where it would hit the charts there on October 3rd. It would be another year before it charted in the US.

September 28, 1989: Kix launched a six show tour of Japan at CLUB CITTA' in Kawasaki, opening with "Red Lite, Green Lite, TNT", "Get It While It's Hot" and "She Dropped Me the Bomb".

September 28, 1991: The UK's Kerrang! Magazine reported on KISS drummer Eric Carr returning to the band after being told by doctors he was clear of cancer. Sadly, he would pass away less than two months later 😢

Remembering Phantom Blue guitarist Michelle Meldrum-Norum, who would have celebrated a birthday today. She died in 2008 at age 39. Michelle is survived by her son Jake and husband, Europe guitarist John Norum. R.I.P.

L.A. hard rockers London released their debut album "Non-Stop Rock" in 1985. Shortly before recording began, the band included Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler (Guns N' Roses). Drummer Fred Coury plays on the LP, but left after to join Cinderella.

September 28, 1991: Little Caesar began a run of great shows from up and coming bands at The Marquee in Westminster, California. Thunder and Kik Tracee would follow in October.
