September 24, 1991: Originally called "Seventh Sign" but rejected by their record label a year earlier, Europe released their fifth studio album "Prisoners In Paradise" in North America (October '91 in the UK) featuring singles "I'll Cry For You", "Halfway To Heaven" and the homage to Queen title track.

September 1985: Ex-Van Halen singer David Lee Roth was supposed to begin shooting his first feature film "Crazy From The Heat" with a projected Summer 1986 release date. The film was never made, but the script surfaced online in 2018.

September 24, 1982: With their debut album "Too Fast For Love" re-released a month earlier on major label Elektra, Mötley Crüe continued to grind it out on the L.A. scene with two shows at The Roxy in West Hollywood.

September 1993: Drummer Steven Adler reached a 2.5-million dollar settlement with Guns N' Roses. After getting kicked out for being addicted to heroin, he signed away his partnership, but sued the band claiming he was high when he signed it.

September 24, 1990: Whitesnake's David Coverdale released a solo single titled "The Last Note Of Freedom" in the UK off the soundtrack from the hit movie "Days Of Thunder" starring Tom Cruise. The song was co-written by Hans Zimmer and Billy Idol and played while the end credits are running. Guns N' Roses' also appeared on the soundtrack with a cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door". September 24, 1991: The Cult released their fifth studio album "Ceremony" in North America (one day earlier in the UK) featuring US Top 15 rock hit "Wild Hearted Son". Inspired by Native American culture, the band was sued for millions by the parents of the boy pictured on the cover. September 24, 1990: UK rock quartet Jagged Edge released their only album "Fuel For Your Soul" featuring singles "You Don't Love Me" and "Out In The Cold".
