September 19, 1988: Originally titled "Sons Of Beaches" and intended to be a double album (but rejected by their record label), Bon Jovi released their fourth studio album "New Jersey" worldwide featuring No. 1 singles "Bad Medicine" and "I'll Be There For You", plus Top 10 hits "Born To Be My Baby" and "Lay Your Hands On Me". The LP was No. 1 in the US for four weeks.

September 19, 1988: Kix released their fourth studio album "Blow My Fuse" in North America (several days later in the UK) featuring singles "Get It While It's Hot", the title track and their biggest hit, power ballad "Don't Close Your Eyes" that reached No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

Late September 1986: RATT released "Dance" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Dancing Undercover", with a reluctant to perform band in the music video that played often on MTV in the US, but not until December that year as the video wasn't shot until well after the album was out. The song was also used in a Miami Vice episode... "Thrash disco by L.A.'s popular party-metal quintet." -Billboard Magazine. September 19, 1985: Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, along with John Denver and Frank Zappa testified at a US Senate hearing to defend musicians against proposed censorship by the PMRC. Soon after warning labels were placed on albums with explicit lyrics.

September 19, 1989: Summer was hangin' on with a perfect 78 degrees fahrenheit in Evansville, Indiana for one hot concert with Tesla, Great White and Badlands.

September 19, 1989: Featuring Jason Bonham, the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, the band Bonham released their debut album "The Disregard Of Timekeeping" in North America featuring single "Wait For You". Release date source: Billboard Magazine - September 2, 1989.

September 19, 1989: Out of New York City, Law And Order released their debut album "Guilty Of Innocence" in North America featuring single "We Don't See God". Release date source: CMJ New Music Report ad - October 6, 1989.

Recorded in May 1991 at Barton Coliseum in Little Rock, Arkansas, Cinderella released "Live Train To Heartbreak Station" in Japan only on September 19, 1991. That same night, the band played the first of five shows in Japan at Kan-i Hoken Hall in Tokyo.

September 1986: Van Halen released "5150" with new frontman Sammy Hagar in March and in July, David Lee Roth issued his first solo album "Eat 'Em And Smile"... With both bands touring the US, of course "The War Heats Up" -Hit Parader Magazine
