September 1990: Winger released power ballad "Miles Away" as the second single from the album "In The Heart Of The Young" in North America. Keyboardist Paul Taylor has said he wrote the track for then girlfriend Emi Canyn, a Mötley Crüe (Nasty Habits) background singer, who just married Crüe guitarist Mick Mars in late September that year 😬 Release information source: [US] R&R radio trade publication ad - September 14, 1990.

September 1989: "The Cat's Meow", White Lion were on the cover of Faces Magazine in the US and singer Mike Tramp also got the Hit Parader cover that same month. The band would next perform at the "World Series Of Rock" in Dallas with Poison and more.

September 14/15, 1988: With "Special Guest Stars" Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith concluded the "Permanent Vacation" Tour with two shows in Costa Mesa, California. Just out of rehab, they asked Guns to not do drugs in their presence.

September 14/15, 1990: KISS brought the "Hot In The Shade" Tour to Southern California with shows in L.A. and San Diego. Slaughter opened the entire tour, but after Faster Pussycat, Little Caesar and Danger Danger, Winger joined late summer.

September 1989: Keel released their fifth album "Larger Than Live" with six new songs, including single and MTV music video "Dreams Are Not Enough", plus six live tracks recorded in March that year at the Roxy in Hollywood, California.

September 1990: Jon Bon Jovi's first solo single "Blaze Of Glory" was a worldwide hit and that got him the cover of Germany's Popcorn Magazine.

September 14, 1991: The just released new album from Tesla titled "Psychotic Supper" with singles "Edison's Medicine", "Call It What You Want", "What You Give" and Steve Clark tribute "Song & Emotion", was well-received most everywhere, including Britain, where frontman Jeff Keith was featured on the cover of Kerrang!
