July 5, 1988: Cinderella released their second studio album "Long Cold Winter" in North America (one day earlier in the UK) featuring singles "Gypsy Road", "Coming Home", "The Last Mile" and power ballad "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)", the latter reaching No. 12 in the US.

July 5, 1986: "Yankee Rose", the first single from David Lee Roth's debut album "Eat 'Em And Smile", debuted at No. 72 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The music video hit MTV in late June. Lighting up the summer, it would rise to No. 16 by the end of August.

Summer 1985: RATT's new album "Invasion Of Your Privacy" had a list price higher than most at $9.98, but with the "Lay It Down" music video in power rotation on MTV, demand was huge and the LP reached US platinum sales in only three weeks. FMQB radio trade publication ad - July 5, 1985
