July 4, 1992: "Hold Your Fire" the second studio album from Firehouse, debuted at No. 23 on the US Billboard 200. The LP spawned three hit singles "Reach For The Sky", "Sleeping With You" and power ballad "When I Look Into Your Eyes".

July 4, 1988: Def Leppard released "Love Bites" in the UK as a single from the album "Hysteria" (Early August in North America). It peaked at No. 11 in the UK, but went to No. 1 in the US and Canada, the band's only No. 1 single in America. July 4, 1988: Def Leppard released "Historia" on home video in the UK (the following day in North America) containing all their promotional videos from 1980-88. It was re-released on DVD in 2002 bundled with "Live: In the Round, In Your Face", a full live show shot during the "Hysteria" World Tour. July 1989: King's X released their second studio album "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska" in North America (June 12th in the UK) featuring the soulful, metal groove of "Over My Head" and power ballad "Summerland". July 4, 1982: Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Arden were married in Hawaii. Ozzy had previously divulged that Sharon purposefully picked their wedding date, which is Independence Day in the United States, so he would remember it.
