June 5, 1989: White Lion released their third studio album "Big Game" in North America (June 26th in the UK), featuring singles "Little Fighter", "Radar Love" and "Cry For Freedom". The LP debuted on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart on July 1, 1989 and peaked at No. 19 in August that year.

Remembering Bon Jovi co-founder and bassist [1983-94] Alec John Such, who died June 5, 2022. Jon Bon Jovi called his former bandmate "an original... integral to the formation of the band." R.I.P.

June 5, 1979: Def Leppard played Crookes Workingman's Club in Sheffield, England, not far from the childhood homes of Joe Elliott and Rick Savage. The band performed many covers in their early sets including UFO and Foreigner songs.

June 5, 1990: With former DIO and Whitesnake guitarist Vivian Campbell, Riverdogs released their self-titled debut album in North America (July 1990 in the UK), featuring US Top 30 rock hit "Toy Soldier". June 1982: Aldo Nova was on his way to platinum in the US with his self-titled debut album featuring Top 25 hit "Fantasy". Fun Fact: Aldo Nova provided additional guitar and keyboards on Bon Jovi's 1984 debut album. Billboard Magazine ad - June 5, 1982

June 5, 1989: Welsh glam rockers Tigertailz released "Love Bomb Baby" in the UK, as a single from their forthcoming album "Bezerk", their first LP with new lead vocalist Kim Hooker. Release date source: Kerrang! ad - June 10, 1989.

June 5, 1993: Winger's third studio album "Pull" debuted and peaked at No. 83 on the US Billboard 200. Recorded as a trio (guitarist/keyboardist Paul Taylor left the band after the "In The Heart Of The Young" Tour a year earlier), single "Down Incognito" was a US Top 15 rock hit.

June 5, 2007: Poison released their seventh and most recent studio album "Poison'd!" featuring cover versions of the band's favorite rock classics. The Walmart version of the CD includes a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Sexyback". Release date source: Blabbermouth.net - April 3, 2007.
