June 26, 1990: Nelson released their debut album "After The Rain" in North America (August '90 in the UK) featuring hit singles the title track and "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" (No. 1 US Billboard Hot 100) written about having a crush on Cindy Crawford.

June 1988: Nearly three years after the release of their third studio album "Midnite Dynamite", an appeared in Hit Parader Magazine in the US promoting the music video for the title track. The band's most successful album "Blow My Fuse" featuring power ballad "Don't Close Your Eyes" would be issued just a few months later.

June 26, 1990: The soundtrack from the film "Days Of Thunder" starring Tom Cruise was released in North America (July 30th in the UK) featuring Guns N' Roses' cover of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and a solo track from Whitesnake's David Coverdale titled "The Last Note Of Freedom". Guns N' Roses' "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" first appeared on the soundtrack for "Days Of Thunder" (with spoken-word responses during the second verse) and on the album "Use Your Illusion II" issued in September 1991.

June 26, 1990: Formed by members of Sheriff and Heart, Canadian rockers Alias released their self-titled debut album in North America featuring singles "Haunted Heart" and "More Than Words Can Say". June 1989: BulletBoys single "Smooth Up In Ya" hit the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart on the 19th and the music video was gaining traction on MTV. R&R US radio trade publication ad - June 23, 1989

June 26/27, 1987: Promoted as "Ace Frehley's Comet", the former KISS guitarist and his band made their only New York appearance at L'Amour: Rock Capital of B'klyn.

June 26, 1996: Van Halen officially announced that Sammy Hagar was no longer with the band and that David Lee Roth was back as a temporary replacement. This led to a tense reunion of the original four members at the MTV VMA's in September 1996.
