June 23, 1987: Featuring Eddie Van Halen on bass guitar, Sammy Hagar released his ninth solo album "I Never Said Goodbye" in North America (same week in the UK), originally titled "Sammy Hagar", but renamed after being chosen as part of an MTV promotional contest.

June 23, 1990: Houston rock radio station KLOL held their annual "Rock 'N' Roll Auction" that included an all-star hair band jam with RATT's Stephen Pearcy, White Lion's Mike Tramp, Kip Winger and more. -Kerrang!

June 1987: Twisted Sister released "Hot Love" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Love Is for Suckers". The band dropped their trademark makeup and slapstick comedy elements for the music video that features Dee Snider's wife Suzette.
