June 16, 1992: Firehouse released their second studio album "Hold Your Fire" in North America (mid-July in the UK) featuring hit singles "Reach For The Sky", "Sleeping With You" and power ballad "When I Look Into Your Eyes" (the latter reached No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100). June 16, 1984: Scorpions ninth studio album "Love At First Sting" peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart. The band's most successful LP, it also went Top 10 in Germany, France and Switzerland and Top 20 in the UK and Canada.

June 16, 1990: Lita Ford's fourth studio album "Stiletto" debuted on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and lead single "Hungry" was on its way to becoming a Top 15 rock hit.

June 16, 1996: After nearly 10 years together and four No. 1 albums, Van Halen and Sammy Hagar parted ways. Two weeks later, an official announcement was made by the band and that David Lee Roth was back as a temporary replacement.

June 16, 1992: L.A. rockers Bang Tango launched an extensive UK tour at Rock City in Nottingham. The finale was July 4th at London's Marquee Club. -Kerrang!

June 1985: With their third studio album "Theatre Of Pain" in US record stores the same month, Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil got the cover of Metal Hammer Magazine showing off the new Crüe look.

June 16, 2022: Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, along with Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, launched "The Stadium Tour" in Atlanta. Originally scheduled for the summer of 2020, the tour was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
