May 15, 1987: Mötley Crüe released their fourth studio album, arena-rock juggernaut "Girls, Girls, Girls", featuring singles the title track (reached No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100), "You're All I Need" and MTV video smash "Wildside".

May 15, 1990: Lita Ford released her fourth studio album "Stiletto" in North America featuring Top 15 rock hit "Hungry" and ballad "Lisa", the latter written in honor of Lita's mom who was dying of cancer. "My mom was my biggest fan... She was awesome."

May 1984: The American ear had really latched on to Def Leppard and over a year of "Pyromania" just wasn't enough, so the band's previous album was getting a fresh listen with the re-issue of "High N' Dry" to US record stores. Release information source: [US] Billboard Magazine ad - May 26, 1984.

May 15, 1985: Night Ranger released their third studio album "7 Wishes" in North America (one month later in the UK) featuring US hit singles "Sentimental Street", "Goodbye" and "Four In The Morning", the latter "Literally, I wrote that song at 4 in the morning." -Jack Blades.

May 1990: Y&T released their ninth studio album "Ten" in North America (a month later in the UK with a different cover) featuring single "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark". Singer and guitarist Dave Meneketti called it probably the best music video they ever made, but with the onset of grunge he never once saw it on MTV.

May 1990: Founded by vocalist Ron Young, who had previously worked as a nightclub bouncer, Little Caesar released their self-titled debut album in North America featuring Aretha Franklin cover "Chain Of Fools" and power ballad "In Your Arms". May 15, 1990: After Keel disbanded in 1987, guitarist Marc Ferrari was forming a new group called "Ferrari" and near the end of 1989 they were ready to record an album, but changed their name to Cold Sweat and released "Break Out" in North America. May 1990: Nearly a year after the release of their first album, "Bang Bang", the title track from New York rockers Danger Danger was getting more airplay on American radio. May 15, 1987: Going with a hair band look and sound, Heart released the album "Bad Animals" in North America featuring US No. 1 smash single "Alone" and follow up "Who Will You Run To". Release date source: Billboard Magazine New Releases - May 2, 1987.

May 1979: KISS released "I Was Made For Lovin' You" as a single. The "Disco Rock" song was co-written by Desmond Child, who went on to write some of the biggest hair band hits from Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper and more. Release information source: [US] Debuted Billboard Hot 100 on May 26, 1979.

May 15, 1991: Cinderella's "Heartbreak Station" Tour rolled into Cincinnati, Ohio with special guests Nelson and Lynch Mob.
