May 1990: Mötley Crüe released "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" as the fourth single from the album "Dr. Feelgood". The music video shows Vince Neil leaving New York City to join his bandmates in Los Angeles for rehearsal. The Gavin Report radio publication ad - May 11, 1990

May 11, 1988: As first single "Wait" was in the Top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, MTV couldn't wait to start showing the video for the follow up "Tell Me". "It just proves that the album is timeless. Those songs will live on forever." -Mike Tramp.

May 1990: Whitesnake released "Now You're Gone" as the third and final single from the album "Slip Of The Tongue"... "I remember shooting the video with Wayne Isham in front of a sold out crowd at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, unfortunately it received minimal airplay as MTV was changing its format... still, I think it's one of the best videos we've done..." -David Coverdale. May 11, 1984: Lita Ford released her second studio album "Dancin’ On The Edge" in the UK (two weeks later in North America). US rock radio stations started playing single "Gotta Let Go" in mid-June. The LP was nominated for a Grammy. Release date source: Kerrang! - April 5, 1984.

May 11, 1986: Just days before the release of their debut album "Look What The Cat Dragged In", Poison played Chuck Landis' Country Club in Reseda, California with special guests Redline (whatever happened to them) and a not yet fronted by Jani Lane, Warrant (singer was Adam Shore).

May 1985: Night Ranger released "Sentimental Street" in North America as the lead single from their forthcoming album "7 Wishes". May 1992: Swedish rockers with a little bit of funk, Electric Boys, released their second studio album "Groovus Maximus" in the UK featuring single "Mary In The Mystery World". Release information source: Kerrang! ad - May 9, 1992.

May 1990: Bret Michaels was on the cover of Blast! Magazine. With Poison's new album "Flesh & Blood" due out in July that year, Bret talked about some of the songs, including "Something To Believe In" about his best friend who died the previous year.
