March 19, 1991: With former Waysted vocalist Danny Vaughn, Tyketto released their debut album "Don't Come Easy" in North America (April 8, 1991 in the UK) featuring singles "Forever Young", "Seasons" and "Wings". The band saw 'Tyketto' painted on a wall in Brooklyn and thought it sounded cool. March 1984: "Never Before Have So Few, So New, Made This Much Noize!" At the time, Quiet Riot had the most successful metal debut album of all time with 5 million copies sold, until Guns N' Roses came along three years later. Billboard Magazine ad - March 17, 1984

March 19, 1990: Welsh glam metal band Tigertailz released their second and most successful studio album "Bezerk" featuring single Love Bomb Baby". Their first LP with new lead vocalist Kim Hooker, it was a Top 40 hit in the UK. Release date source: Kerrang! - February 17, 1990.

March 19, 1991: Originally called "Byte The Bullet", L.A. hard rockers "Southgang" released their debut album "Tainted Angel" in North America (March 18th in the UK) featuring singles "Love Ain't Enough" and the title track. The music video for the latter received some MTV airplay, primarily during Headbangers Ball. March 19, 1980: Ahead of the release of their third album "Women And Children First", Van Halen launched the "World Invasion" Tour in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It was also dubbed the "Party 'til You Die" Tour by the band.

March 19, 1988: Almost a year after the release of their debut album, Frehley's Comet featuring former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, made their UK live debut with a show at London's Hammersmith Odeon. -Kerrang!

March 19, 1990: Formed three years earlier as "Voices", but later changed to "Cheetah", then to "Meridian", before finally settling on "Baton Rouge", the Louisiana hard rockers released their debut album "Shake Your Soul", featuring single "Walks Like A Woman". March 19, 1990: MacAlpine released the album "Eyes Of The World" featuring single "The World We Live In". The band was a short-lived project by guitarist Tony MacAlpine, and the album a departure from his previous work in that it is more commercially oriented.
