March 16, 1992: Def Leppard released "Let's Get Rocked" in the UK as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Adrenalize". The video was the band's first without Steve Clark and shot as a four-piece as guitarist Vivian Campbell had not yet been selected. March 1989: MTV sponsored a contest to give away Jon Bon Jovi's childhood home in Sayreville, New Jersey. The Bongiovi family had lived there for 24 years. Touring the house with the winner, JBJ said "We used to sneak girls in through that cellar window".

March 1990: American rock radio stations began playing "The Ballad Of Jayne", the new power ballad from L.A. Guns off the album "Cocked & Loaded". The track would become a Top 25 US rock hit and the music video a No. 1 request on Dial MTV. R&R US radio trade publication ad - March 16, 1990

March 16, 1988: Def Leppard with opener McAuley Schenker Group played Frankfurt, Germany as the "Hysteria" Tour made its way through Europe in March and April that year. The band took part in a Frankfurt charity football match two days earlier.

March 16, 1982: Scorpions were in Barcelona as the "Blackout" Tour was under way in Europe. The band played 150 shows across 14 countries through December 1983. The North American leg was supported by Iron Maiden, Girlschool, Rainbow and Riot.

March 16, 1991: Great White's fifth studio album "Hooked" debuted on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart at No. 48. Featuring singles "Desert Moon" and "Call It Rock And Roll", it would reach the Top 20.

March 16, 1991: Steelheart power ballad "I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)" debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at No. 77. Their biggest hit, by the summer, it would rise into the Top 25.

March 1984: Supporting their debut album released a month earlier, Great White were touring the East Coast USA and after one show, the local police "paid a visit backstage to haul frontman Jack Russell off to the hole, charging him with 'profanity': Jack dedicated 'Stick It' to a bouncer who was persistently hassling some people at the front, and the offended official called the cops. The band managed to talk themselves out of arrest by showering the coppers with T-shirts and a contribution to the policeman's ball." -Kerrang!
