February 1989: Inspired by the Beatles "I Saw Her Standing There", Winger released "Seventeen" in North America as the second single from their debut album. February 1986: Written by Don Dokken while sitting on a Mexican beach, Dokken released "In My Dreams" in North America as the second single from the album "Under Lock And Key". Release information source: [US] Debuted Billboard Hot 100 - February 22, 1986.

Happy Birthday to former Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands, Mickey Ratt and Rough Cutt guitarist Jake E. Lee (February 15, 1957).

February 15, 1989: With Skid Row opening, Bon Jovi brought the "Jersey Syndicate" Tour to Atlanta. "Jon Bon Jovi has locked into a winning formula, and the fact is Bon Jovi in a collective sense are a band that the general public simply adores. Look around the sold-out house: that's your little sister down front, and your mom in the upper level seat. And they're both enjoying the hell out of the show." -Kerrang!

February 1992: White Lion's debut album "Fight To Survive" was officially released. Issued in Japan in 1985, it had been only available as an import elsewhere. The band originally recorded the album in February 1984 for Elektra, but the label decided not to release it and dropped the band from their roster. The record eventually found a home in Japan when JVC Victor released it there under license. Release information source: Kerrang! - February 22, 1992.

A "de-glammed" Vinnie Vincent Invasion were gearing up for the release of their sophomore album "All Systems Go" with new singer Mark Slaughter. The LP was planned for release in late February 1988, but didn't actually hit record shops until May. Kerrang! - February 13, 1988

February 15, 1992: Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama, I'm Coming Home" debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100. It would turn out to be his only solo Top 40 single, peaking at No. 28 in April that year. Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister wrote the lyrics.

February 15, 1990: On the road in Canada, L.A. Guns were in Ottawa for a show at Barrymore's Music Hall. Earlier in the day, guitarist Mick Cripps and bassist Kelly Nickels visited a 14-year-old fan in the hospital (see caption for details).

February 15, 1991: RATT concluded the "Detonator" Tour in Osaka, Japan, which turned out to be guitarist Robbin Crosby's final performance with the band. After returning to the States, Crosby checked himself into a rehab facility for substance abuse and RATT continued on briefly with Michael Schenker, formerly of Scorpions, UFO, Michael Schenker Group, and McAuley Schenker Group.

February 1986: KISS drummer Eric Carr was on the cover of Rock Scene Magazine along with leftover holiday photos of other rock stars in Santa hats 🤶🥴

February 15, 1992: "Wild In The yoU.thS.A.", Skid Row's Sebastian Bach was on the cover of Kerrang! and the band were showcased in an 8-page spread following their concert two weeks earlier in Charlotte, North Carolina.
