Hair Band History (December 5th)

Remembering Great White singer Jack Russell, who would have celebrated a birthday today (December 5, 1960). Jack died in 2024. R.I.P.

December 1988: With smash hits "Nothin' But A Good Time" and "Fallen Angel", their first headlining tour well under way and current single "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" on its way to No. 1... R&R US radio trade publication ad - December 2, 1988

December 5, 1983: After playing North America and Europe most of the year, Def Leppard had returned home to the UK for three shows that concluded at London's Hammersmith Odeon. The "Pyromania" Tour would end in February 1984 in Thailand.

December 5, 1987: Kerrang! reviewed a show in Portland, Maine from the Dokken/Aerosmith tour in August that year, noting there were a lot of t-shirts and some banners for Dokken, who could have been the main act as their star was on the rise.

December 1987: Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley and his band Frehley's Comet were touring America with Alice Cooper.

Poison and Warrant toured the US together until the end of 1990 and that included Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati on December 5th. After a New Year's Eve show in Long Beach, California, Warrant would drop off the tour and be replaced by Tesla for Poison's January 1989 dates.

December 1989: Bad English released "Price Of Love" in North America as the follow-up single to the No. 1 hit "When I See You Smile". The track would debut on the US Billboard Hot 100 on December 23rd and peak at No. 5 in March 1990.

December 5, 1985: RATT brought the "World Infestation" Tour to the Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida. That same month, the red hot rodents were the centerfold in the latest issue of Hit Parader.
