Remembering Firehouse singer C.J. Snare who would have celebrated a birthday today (December 14, 1964). C.J. died in 2024. R.I.P.

December 1985: After peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in July, RATT's second studio album "Invasion Of Your Privacy", featuring singles "Lay It Down" and "You're In Love", was certified platinum in the US (1 million copies sold). It was last certified double platinum in 2000.

December 14, 1989: They're new album "Boys In Heat" just released in the UK, Britny Fox opened for Great White and Alice Cooper in Birmingham, England, and got the cover of the latest issue of Kerrang!

December 14, 1986: With Mark Slaughter on vocals, Vinnie Vincent Invasion were touring with Alice Cooper, having just played Cleveland and on their way to New York... "Last time I saw Vinnie he was still in KISS. The clothes have changed, the hair has been supercharged with spray, but he's still a damn hot guitarist." -Kerrang!

December 14, 1991: Powered by singles "Jet City Woman", "Silent Lucidity" and the title track, Queensrÿche's fourth studio album "Empire" went double platinum in the US (2 million copies sold). As of today, that number is over three million worldwide, making it the band's best selling LP.

December 14, 1985: Poison played the second of two nights at the Troubadour in Hollywood, California. The flyer shows an image of original guitarist Matt Smith, but he had recently been replaced by C.C. DeVille. After the band held auditions, Bret Michaels actually wanted to hire future Guns N' Roses' guitarist Slash, who surprisingly also auditioned, but Bret was outvoted by his bandmates 😮
