Hair Band History (November 10th)

Mötley Crüe released 900 copies of their debut album "Too Fast For Love" on their own Leathür Records label in 1981. After signing with major label Elektra the following year, the LP was remixed and reissued in August 1982.

November 1988: Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora spent some time in Malibu writing songs with Alice Cooper for his next album "Trash". The following spring they recorded "Hell Is Living Without You" in JBJ's home studio.

November 1988: A hit album from Whitesnake brought worldwide fame to singer David Coverdale and with the band's music videos, nearly as much attention for Tawny Kitaen, when the couple announced their wedding for February 1989.

November 1989: Co-written by Paul Stanley and originally recorded a year earlier by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler, KISS released "Hide Your Heart" as a single in the UK from their new album "Hot In The Shade". Release information source: Kerrang! ad - November 11, 1989.

November 1982: With their latest album "Creatures Of The Night" just issued in North America, the track "I Love It Loud" was receiving some attention and the return to form well-received by American rock radio stations, surprised at the strong listener reaction. November 1984: Subtract parents, enter friends, a pizza and Quiet Riot, it's time to "Party All Night", the second single from the album "Conditional Critical" was out and the music video in medium rotation on MTV.

November 10, 1991: Supporting their latest album "Psychotic Supper", Tesla were touring the UK and stopped for a show at the Hummingbird in Birmingham. Kerrang! ad - November 9, 1991

November 1986: Canadian rockers Honeymoon Suite were "closing in on triple platinum" sales in their home country with their second studio album "The Big Prize" featuring their biggest hit single "Feel It Again". The band won the "Prize" for "Group Of The Year" at the 1986 Juno Awards and won the "Audience 1st Choice" award and a Gold Award at the 17th Annual Yamaha World Popular Music Festival.

November 1983: In less than a year, Def Leppard had sold nearly six million copies of "Pyromania" in the US. Since then, that number has more than doubled.

Michael Jackson's 1983 hit "Beat It" featured Eddie Van Halen performing the lead guitar solo and for his latest single "Black Or White" issued in November 1991, MJ enlisted the help of Guns N' Roses' Slash.
