July 1987: "Ready to out Mötley the Crüe and out Twist TFS", Guns N' Roses' first single in the US was being promoted to radio stations... July 18, 1978: Def Leppard played their very first live show at the Westfield School in Sheffield, England. Band members were Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Steve Clark, Pete Willis and drummer Tony Kenning (replaced by Rick Allen five months later).

July 18, 1987: Great White's third studio album "Once Bitten", featuring Top 10 US rock hit "Rock Me" and power ballad "Save Your Love", debuted at No. 130 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. By October it would rise into the Top 25.

July 1995: All was not right in the house of Van Halen and "Balance" would be their last album with Sammy Hagar, but VH will always be much loved...
