June 9, 1986: Cinderella released their debut album "Night Songs" in North America (August '86 in the UK) featuring singles "Shake Me", "Somebody Save Me" and power ballad "Nobody's Fool", the latter reached No. 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The band toured with Bon Jovi.

June 9, 1983: Rolling across North America promoting the red hot "Pyromania" album, Def Leppard played Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the only full-length audience shot video from the entire "Pyromania" Tour... you can watch it on YouTube.

June 9, 1992: Steelheart released their second studio album "Tangled In Reins" in North America featuring singles "Sticky Side Up" and "All Your Love". The song "Mama Don't You Cry" was a big hit in Hong Kong and led to an Asian tour that fall. Release date source: Billboard Magazine - June 6, 1992.

June 9, 1987: Y&T went more glam for their eighth studio album "Contagious". 30,000 copies were pressed with one song having the title "Boys Night Out" instead of "L.A. Rocks", but forced to change when labelmate Sammy Hagar had the same writer and song title on his new LP. June 1989: With Tora Tora's debut album "Surprise Attack" available in North America, the lead single "Walkin' Shoes" hit American rock radio at a brisk pace. Over the summer, the music video would become a Top 5 hit on "Dial MTV". FMQB radio trade publication ad - June 9, 1989.

June 1989: Sounding a little less like Led Zeppelin, Kingdom Come released "Who Do You Love" as the second single from their second studio album "In Your Face". FMQB radio trade publication ad - June 9, 1989

June 1989: American/British supergroup Bad English released "Forget Me Not" as the lead single from their forthcoming debut album. The music video starts with a scene of frontman John Waite being married to a woman in the woods by a medieval monk. June 9, 1982: Spending some quality time in Edmonton, Mötley Crüe played five shows in the Canadian city with the third night at Scandals almost derailed due to a bomb threat. Nikki Sixx downplayed the news saying then, "We don't really care either. We're here to give everybody their money's worth for the show. If people don't enjoy it, they don't have to come and see it." The show went on without incident because the band later revealed that it had been a publicity stunt. 😏

June 9, 2023: Celebrating 40 Years of Ratt n’ Roll!, "RATT: The Atlantic Years 1984-1991" was released as a limited edition box set (5,000 copies) on vinyl and CD. Both collections include the albums "Out Of The Cellar", "Invasion Of Your Privacy", "Dancing Undercover", "Reach For The Sky" and "Detonator". The vinyl set also includes 1991's "Nobody Rides For Free" from the "Point Break" movie soundtrack as a 7" single, along with a 12-page replica tour book (featuring rare and never-before-seen photos from RATT's personal archives), 11"x17" wanted poster, bumper sticker, replica backstage pass, and guitar pick in a custom lift-top box.
