May 18, 1984: Twisted Sister released "We're Not Gonna Take It" in the UK as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Stay Hungry" and the track had just started receiving airplay on North American rock radio stations. The music video debuted on MTV a few weeks later, propelling the song to No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100 by August of that year. May 18, 1993: Winger released their third studio album "Pull" in North America recorded as a trio (guitarist/keyboardist Paul Taylor left the band after the "In The Heart Of The Young" Tour ended a year earlier). May 18, 1985: "7800° Fahrenheit", the second studio album from Bon Jovi, debuted at No. 64 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. It would peak a month later at No. 37, but in Japan it went to No. 5. Maybe it was the alternate album cover?

May 1987: Back in the spotlight with his first album since leaving KISS, Ace Frehley was on the cover of the UK's Kerrang! Magazine

May 18, 1987: With a warning on the cover "Containing situations that will digust some and titilate others", KISS released "Exposed" on VHS in North America featuring interviews with Gene and Paul, plus the band's '80s music videos (not "Thrills In The Night") and the Paul Stanley Workout Tape 🙃 Release date source: [US] Magazine ad - 'Street Date' May 18th.

May 18, 1993: KISS released their third live album "Alive III" recorded over multiple dates on the '92 "Revenge" Tour. The liner notes include a family tree showing the various KISS lineups as well as bands then-current and former members had played with previously. May 18, 1988: Italian guitarist Alex Masi and his band MASI released their second studio album "Downtown Dreamers" in North America, featuring the single "God Promised A Paradise", which for a couple of months the music video received steady airplay on MTV. May 18, 1987: As "Here I Go Again" was climbing the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US, "Is This Love" from Whitesnake was issued as a single in the UK, where it would spend 11 weeks on the UK singles chart and reach the Top 10.
