April 15, 1995: Van Halen's "Can’t Stop Lovin’ You" peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. It was also a Hot 100 hit and reached number three on the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart.

April 15, 1987: MTV began showing the music video for Night Ranger's "The Secret Of My Success" that features cameos by Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee and Vince Neil playing saxophones along with Weird Al Yankovich on trumpet. Billboard - April 11, 1987

April 1988: Lita Ford's former bandmate in "The Runaways" Joan Jett released "I Hate Myself For Loving You" in North America as the lead single from her forthcoming sixth studio album "Up Your Alley". Dokken released their sixth studio album and last with the entire classic lineup, the alternative rock sounding "Shadowlife" in 1997. Don Dokken has said George Lynch took control of the LP and even replaced the original Dokken logo.

April 15, 1988: KISS' Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show where they were interviewed about groupies. In particular, the rockers became known for their voracious sexual appetites... "It's really great," said Paul.
