April 11, 1988: An ad in Billboard Magazine signaled the release of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" as the fourth single from the album "Hysteria" in North America. It would debut on the US Billboard Hot 100 on April 23rd and peak at No. 2 in July that year.

April 1995: Firehouse released their third studio album "3" that featured a softer sound compared to their previous efforts. It spawned two hit power ballads in "I Live My Life For You" and "Here For You". Release information source: Debuted Billboard 200 album chart on April 29, 1995.

April 11, 1988: Lita Ford released "Kiss Me Deadly" as a single in the UK and was featured in Kerrang! Magazine... "It's about time I did something a little classy." Release date source: Kerrang! - April 16, 1988.

April 11, 1989: The Cult released their fourth studio album "Sonic Temple" in North America (one day earlier in the UK). Featuring singles "Fire Woman" and "Edie (Ciao Baby)", it went Top 10 in the UK and US. Two years earlier the band was touring the US supported by a then-unknown Guns N' Roses.

April 11, 1987: RATT with special guests Poison played the Orange Pavilion in San Bernardino, California.

April 11, 1992: Def Leppard's "Let's Get Rocked", the first single from the album "Adrenalize", debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. It would later reach No. 15 on the Hot 100, as well as No. 2 in the UK and No. 3 in Canada.
