March 1987: Bon Jovi released the single "Wanted Dead Or Alive", which was also going to be the name of the album before being changed to "Slippery When Wet". Rock photographer Mark Weiss even conducted a photo shoot for a "Wanted" album title. March 25, 1989: Guns N' Roses ballad "Patience" peaked at No. 7 on the US Billboard Rock Chart and now the push was on for the Hot 100 with the song's release to Top 40 radio, where it debuted on April 8th and peaked at No. 4 in June '89. Happy Birthday to Keel founder and singer Ron Keel (March 25, 1961).

Dokken released "Alone Again" as the third single from the album "Tooth And Nail" in 1985. Written by Don Dokken in the mid '70s, it was forgotten about until a power ballad was needed for the LP. The song was reworked with bassist Jeff Pilson.

March 25, 1990: Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee was arrested (it was staged) for mooning the audience during a show in Augusta, Georgia. Charged with indecent exposure and performing a sexually explicit act, the fine: $1,647. the publicity: priceless.

March 25, 1991: White Lion released "Lights And Thunder" in the UK as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Mane Attraction", an eight-minute heavy rock epic with a complex structure inspired by Led Zeppelin's "Achilles Last Stand". Release date source: Kerrang! - March 23, 1991.

March 25, 2011: Whitesnake released their 11th studio album "Forevermore" in Europe (March 29th in North America). March 25, 1985: Irish hard rockers Mama's Boys released their fourth studio album "Power And Passion" in the UK (April 19th in North America) featuring "Needle In The Groove" and "Straight Forward, No Looking Back". March 25, 1979: Two days after the release of their second album, Van Halen embarked on their first headlining tour, the "World Vacation" Tour in Fresno, CA. Two weeks later they co-headlined with Aerosmith. Read: Van Halen Aerosmith Prank

March 25, 1988: The film "Johnny Be Good" starring Anthony Michael Hall, Robert Downey, Jr. and Uma Thurman opened in theatres and the soundtrack featured Judas Priest with a cover of Chuck Berry's 1958 hit "Johnny B. Goode", plus Kix with "No Ring Around The Rosie", that also appeared on their next album "Blow My Fuse" issued in September that year, and Dirty Looks song "It's Not The Way You Rock" that appeared on their album "Cool From The Wire".

March 1991: Coming off the success of their debut album, the follow up from BulletBoys titled "Freakshow" was in stores this month and frontman Marq Torien got the cover of Rock Beat Magazine... "All Fired Up In '91"
