Hair Band History (March 1st)

Welcome to March! Time to flip your calendar and note that one person in this photo has a birthday coming up 🥳
March 1, 1991: Touring the UK for the first time, Warrant were opening for David Lee Roth before a sold out crowd at London's Wembley Arena. Unfortunately, the band were forced to abandon the tour after just four shows when singer Jani Lane cracked two ribs while performing in Birmingham, jumping into the audience during the last song "Cherry Pie" and landing on a wooden box. "Warrant had to fly home immediately and, to add insult to Jani's injury, were charged £40 for replacement of the box." -Kerrang!
Happy Birthday to original Skid Row drummer [1987-96] Rob Affuso (March 1, 1963).
Night Ranger released power ballad "Sister Christian" in 1984 as the second single from the album "Midnight Madness". Written for his sister and sung by drummer Kelly Keagy, it went on to become the band's biggest hit, reaching No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in June '84. March 1989: Danish rockers D-A-D released the album "No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims" in Denmark (September '89 Internationally). They were originally named "Disneyland After Dark" because when the lights are out there anything can happen 😉
Quiet Riot released their eighth album "Down To The Bone" in 1995. The cover art is pretty cool and much of the limited budget was spent on it. Unfortunately, the record only sold around 20,000 copies. The '90s were a tough time for Quiet Riot.
March 1, 2023: Extreme released "Rise" as the lead single from their forthcoming album "Six" due June 9, 2023. "When Eddie Van Halen passed away, it really hit me. I'm not going to be the one who will take the throne, but I felt some responsibility to keep guitar playing alive. So, you hear a lot of fire on the record." -Nuno Bettencourt. Release date source: Blabbermouth.net - March 1, 2023.
March 1990: "The New (And Improved?)" Whitesnake, frontman David Coverdale was on the cover of Faces Magazine along with Mötley Crüe who were "#1 And Feelin' Good!" with their latest album.
