Happy Birthday to Alice Cooper (February 4, 1948).

February 4, 1989: White Lion peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (No. 2 in Canada) with "When The Children Cry". An anti-war song, it was written immediately after Live Aid, and partly influenced by singer Mike Tramp's childhood.

February 4, 1992: McAuley Schenker Group released their third and final studio album "M.S.G." in North America (one day earlier in the UK) featuring singles "When I'm Gone" and "Crazy". Former Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson played on the LP. Release date source: Kerrang! - December 14, 1991.

February 4, 1989: Guns N' Roses were in the Top 5 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart with "Appetite For Destruction" at No. 2 and their latest "Lies" at No. 5.

February 1988: Kingdom Come released "Get It On" as the lead single from their forthcoming debut album, an instant hit, but as the band gained fame, there was some backlash from critics and fans for their sonic similarities to Led Zeppelin. The track debuted on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart on February 13, 1988.

February 4, 1986: Honeymoon Suite released their second studio album "The Big Prize" in Canada (February 18th in the US) featuring their biggest hit single "Feel It Again" and a song that played in the final episode of Miami Vice four years later, "Bad Attitude". February 4, 1985: The soundtrack for the movie "Vision Quest" was released in North America (May 1985 in the UK) full of '80s pop hits from Madonna, Journey, etc., but also included was Sammy Hagar's "I'll Fall In Love Again" and DIO's "Hungry For Heaven". Happy Birthday to Quireboys singer Spike Gray (February 4, 1968).

February 4, 1986: KISS and W.A.S.P. played the Cow Palace in Daly City, Calif. W.A.S.P. finished their set with "L.O.V.E. Machine", "I Wanna Be Somebody" and "Blind In Texas". KISS probably held their own, but they had some work to do.

February 1988: Rock Magazine featured Whitesnake's David Coverdale on the cover and inside there were plenty of candy articles on Bon Jovi, Poison, Mötley Crüe, Cinderella, KISS and more.
