February 25, 1984: Van Halen's "Jump" started a five-week run at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The video won "Best Stage Performance" at the MTV Video Music Awards and cost less to make than "having pizzas delivered to the set for 'Hot For Teacher'" -Director Pete Angelus

Def Leppard's third studio album "Pyromania" was first released in North America on January 20, 1983 and scheduled to be issued a month later (February 25th) in the UK, but it ended up being delayed a week. Featuring singles "Photograph", "Rock Of Ages" and "Too Late For Love", the LP reached No. 2 in the US, but only No. 18 in the band's home country. Happy Birthday to former Vixen bassist [1984-86] Pia Maiocco (February 25, 1962). Pia is married to former David Lee Roth and Whitesnake guitarist Steve Vai.

February 25, 2022: Scorpions released their 19th studio album "Rock Believer", their first with former Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee, who replaced James Kottak in 2016. February 25, 1992: Metallica performed "Enter Sandman", then won their third Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance With Vocal" for The Black Album. They were also nominated for Best Rock Song, but lost to Sting's "The Soul Cages".
