January 15, 1991: David Lee Roth released his third solo album "A Little Ain't Enough" featuring Top 10 rock hits the title track and "Sensible Shoes". New lead guitarist Jason Becker was diagnosed with ALS and unable to tour. ☹️

January 1990: Bon Jovi and Mötley Crüe manager Doc McGhee was fired by the Crüe after they claimed he gave Bon Jovi preferential treatment at the Moscow Peace Festival in August 1989. Nikki Sixx challenged Jon Bon Jovi to a fight! 😯 Sixx later claimed it wasn't true... "It wasn't me! Honest, I never threatened to bash Jon Bon Jovi's head in, it's all lies!"

January 1985: Lita Ford's music video for "Dressed To Kill" was being shown on MTV featuring a cameo appearance by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. Lita and Tony were a couple at the time.

RATT guitarist Robbin Crosby married (Playboy Playmate of the Month for December 1986) Laurie Carr in 1987. Laurie later appeared as the cover model for the band Slaughter's albums "Stick It To Ya" and "Stick It Live". The couple divorced in 1991. Robbin passed away in 2002.

Almost seven months after the release of White Lion's second album "Pride", the first single "Wait" was gaining steam at American rock radio and by early March, the music video would be in heavy rotation on MTV. R&R US radio trade publication ad - January 15, 1988.

January 15, 1991: Featuring former Fastway singer Dave King and former Cobra and Asia guitarist Mandy Meyer, Katmandu released their self-titled debut album in North America (January 21st in the UK) featuring singles "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "When The Rain Comes". January 15, 1989: Poison brought the "Open Up And Say...Ahh" Tour to Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, South Carolina with special guest Tesla.

January 1984: The new album "1984" was just released and Eddie Van Halen was on the cover of Hit Parader Magazine as Van Halen were "Voted No. 1 Rock Act In America".
